Nature Valley

During my time at Nature Valley, I was the brand’s voice online. With limited support, I led social strategy, wrote copy, photographed brand events and adventures, designed simple content, edited video, coordinated preservation projects in the field with environmental groups, managed a social media community of 1.5 million, and enjoyed more than my fair share of granola bars. This was at a time when brands were just starting to fully embrace interactive marketing and social networks were popping up left and right. My role involved managing the Nature Valley presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Vine (remember Vine?), Pinterest, and Snapchat, as well as exploring every other social opportunity. By the end of that first year, our interactive brand marketing team included four people with agency support that was producing award-winning work in the Minneapolis ad community and Cannes alike.
